Under the leadership of Dr. Kim Galt, Creighton Health Services Research Program will establish baseline information about the technology readiness of clinical practices in Nebraska through clinician self-assessments. This information will be used as a foundation for educational program development.
Staff: Kimberly A. Galt, Pharm.D., FASHP, Director of CHRP
Dr. Galt serves as the Director of CHRP, Associate Dean for Research and Professor of Pharmacy Practice, School of Pharmacy and Health Professions, at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Galt is engaged in the study of quality and patients safety in health care and education. She has conducted research under funding support from the Agency for Health Research and Quality on patient safety in the areas of health information technologies and e-prescribing safety, patient safety practices in office-based practice, and the safety practices of pharmacists, physicians and patients in the community and ambulatory setting.
She is an appointed member of the Health Care Technology and Decision Sciences Study Section and the Health Information Technology National Resource Center Steering Committee for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality in Rockville, MD.
Karen Paschal, P.T., D.P.T., Associate Professor of Physical Therapy, CHRP
Dr. Paschal is the Associate Professor of Physical Therapy and a CHRP member.
Drs. Paschal and Galt are collaborators in areas of patient safety practice, research and education, and coordinate an interprofessional course on the Foundations of Patient Safety at Creighton.
Ted Kasha, Data Manager/Analyst, CHRP Staff
Mr. Ted Kasha is the data manager and analyst for CHRP. Mr. Kasha holds a bachelors degree in Management of Information Systems and several technical certifications in data management.
